Network Administrator is responsible for keeping an organization’s computers network up-to-date and operating as intended. Coordinate and connect multiple computers, resources and software platforms, Server troubleshooting and terminal access policy are seems simple enough and good standing as systems administrator. Play an essential role in the company in IT department, keep the users connecting to there devices and running securely with minimal down time.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, CCTV, Fingerprint terminals and other hardware configurations.
- Managing Servers task and domin controller.
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
- Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
- Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.
- Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments needed.
- Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems.
Duties
- Assist in network design and implementation
- Provide network support in external campus area.
- Install and configure computer network equipment.
- Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
- Provide network support to users.
- Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings.
- Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and back up.
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
- Monitor network to ensure optimal performance.
- Create and maintain network users/permissions.
- Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility.
- Create technical support documentation for systems and applications. Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or other related field.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016 preferred
- Previous experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred
- MCSE certification a plus.
- CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification a plus.
- Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure (IP Address).
- Ability to implement, administrate, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols (TCP/IP).
- Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
- Experience with local area network and wide area network administration.
