Description



Performance Indicators



Financial Accounting and MIS:


·         Prepare financial statements and MIS reports for Talya in order to finalize the group financial statements and ensure timely submission to company’s auditors.



·   Timeliness and accuracy of financial statements and reports submitted.


·   Timely submission of accounts and required information to auditors.


·   Compliance with Company policies.



Accounts Receivable:


·         Control and review customer invoices; follow up collection with operations and customer departments and book related entries into the system to ensure the system is updated at all time.



·   Timely follow up for collections in accord with company policies and procedures.



Payroll Accounting:


·         Process the monthly salary payroll and any benefits for Talya in accordance with the payroll procedures and guidelines to ensure payments are made on time.


·         Maintain relevant employee records for payroll purposes.



·   Timely submission of data


·   Timely processing of payroll


·   Employee records are accurate



Accounts Payable:


·         Control and review purchase order payments so that vendors are paid within the credit period. Process payments for this purpose.


·         Book related entries into the system to ensure the system is updated at all times.


·         Handle petty cash payments related to operational expense claims.


·         Ensure that all Suppliers and third party service providers’ accounts are updated and maintained accurately.



·   Timely payments in accord with company procedures.

Fixed Assets:


Allocate the proportionate amount of fixed asset to be depreciated according to the company policy for each cost center in the system and ensure that the asset depreciation has been posted accurately by the system in line with the depreciation schedule.



·   Fixed asset depreciation is posted through the system timely and accurately according to the depreciation schedule and procedure


 



External Audit:


·         Liaise and provide external auditors with relevant financial information in order to properly complete the external audit.



·   Fixed asset depreciation is posted through the system timely and accurately according to the depreciation schedule and procedure.



Taxation:


·         Prepare calculation of VAT on monthly basis and Business Profit Tax on yearly basis and ensure timely submission to taxation office; Provide professional advice on taxation issues to Division Managers.



·         Quality of relationship with auditors.

·         Assess training needs and conduct training sessions for accountants on payroll to ensure all accountants understand the system and are capable of using the relevant resources.



§Capability in competently training other Accountants on the Accounting module of the ERP Software package.



GIT Analysis:


·         Carry out analysis for Goods in Transits (GIT) in order to have a clear view on various costs per product such as customs, clearance and transportation.



·         Quality of cost analysis and recommendations.



Direction of Subordinates:


·         Organize and supervise the activities and work of accountants to ensure that all work within accounting activity is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policies.


·         Track staff performance and recommend training programs as required.



·   Audit of compliance versus procedures and policies.


·   Cost efficiency of the area.



Policies & Procedures:


·         Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering Accounting so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective services to customers.
